The desktop app
The Back Post, on your desktop
The desktop app records the matches you play on The Back Post — live, first-party, straight from your own game. It only ever looks at your on-platform matches: nothing else is read, nothing else is stored. No scraping, no history import.
It's also where competitive play will live: match queuing across all modes and live "players searching" presence are built into the app, not the website.
What it does
- Records your matches. Every match you play on The Back Post, logged live to your profile.
- First-party & consented. The app reads only your on-platform matches, locally, with your permission — no scraping.
- Queuing & presence. Match queuing and live online presence, once the app is out.

Installing on Windows
The first time you run the installer, Windows will show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. That's expected — the app isn't code-signed yet, so Windows doesn't recognize the publisher.
Click More info, then Run anyway. It installs just for you (no admin needed), and updates after that arrive automatically.
Code signing is on the way — it'll remove this warning for good.
